Everything seemed to be going fine until i got to the point where i needed to use the plugin. My issue is that when i click on Start Coniguration, list of Blogs shows my Blogger blog with custom domain instead of the blogspot subdomain.

In a previous thread i read, it said: “WordPress keeps records of blogger domain from which you import. This record is used by plugin. So as of now you cannot set manually subdomain for redirection.
We have noted this issue and we will fix this within 2 weeks.
You can subscribe to our blog to receive update when issue gets fixed.”

That was back in April. Does anyone know if this has been fixed and if not, what can I do to fix it? I have been using a custom domain with Blogger for almost 2 years. All my posts are now 404s and it’s already been a few days. I need to fix this asap.

Hello a2dahz,
In this situation there will be two cases:
1. As you mentioned you are using blogger blog with custom domain from last 2 years, then you can directly use the custom domain to import posts from blogger blog. And our plugin is not required for redirection.
2. If you have imported posts from blogspot subdomain then, use our plugin and add redirection code into your blogger template.
Thanks.

Hi Nitun,

so from what i understand i do not need the redirection plugin? Right now i deactivated the plugin. Do you know why i am getting 404 errors for all my posts when i search for them in Google?

My custom domain: http://www.gslaps.com

Blogger subdomain: http://www.gslapsent.blogspot.com

By the way, I imported the posts to wordpress before switching to the blogger subdomain.

Here is little confusion: as you were using custom domain on blogger blog from past 2 years, then why you changed that with blogspot subdomain? You need to stay with the custom domain, hence in this case no need to use our plugin.
Regarding 404 error: it seems like the issue is from your server side. OR may be some permission issue for WordPress directories. Either you need to ask in your hosting support team or hire us to resolve this issue.

I have exactly the same problem described above for http://www.popelix.gr. I have switched blogger to blogspot domain, my wp redirecion plugin shows the custom domain and not the blogspot one and everything blogpost post url is redirected in the main page. I have installed wp in a subdomain in a2hosting company with an addon domain for http://www.popelix.gr.

You can test it with the following link:

Hello Popelix,
This is the problem with your domain/hosting settings.
As I can see your domain is http://popelix.com and other links are showing URL with this http://popelix.worldwahmweb.com/, you need take support from your hosting company.
Thanks.

Hi Nitun and thanks for the reply! I solved the issue with the subdomain redirection following this article: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5690673/wildcard-domain-redirect-with-wordpress

Unfortunatelly, this didn’t solved my blogger redirection issue. I had to deactivate the redirection plugin and use this method: http://www.labnol.org/internet/switch-from-blogger-to-wordpress/9707/

Having used the fix.php script you have mentioned to your diy tutorial, I had to make a small modification to the blogger.php file (use meta_value instead of puid).

I am sure there is a way to do this correctly with the plugin too, thanks for all the help!

Hi Popelix,
The subdomain redirection is perfectly working.
Regarding Fix.php and our Redirection plugin: It should also work fine without making changes into the code. Our Plugin is useful for one to one redirection of posts. And it is well tested and working fine with 1000′s of blog. But I am not sure what could be the problem in your migration process.
I hope everything is working fine in your migration process.
Thanks.
